ROMVLA FEST
For the first time, a Medieval Festival was held in Dobrosloveni, Oltenia County.
During the festival, the traditions and customs of the ancient Dacians and Romans were recreated in front of the local community.
The event is organized under the project "Welcome to the Middle Ages", funded through the Interreg V-A Romania-Bulgaria programme.
During of the three days festival, were presented battles between Dacians and Romans and gladiators battles.
Festival guests were shown craft workshops and slave fairs.
The start of the festival took place in Caracal where an evening military parade with torches took place. Roman wars and Dacian fighters parade in front of the commune, where the square became boiled at the first battle.
